Fortunately for us (and you), we are located on the best beach on the Osa, bar none. We decided to move here when we took a swim. This six mile long, gorgeous, deserted stretch of beach is made for swimming, boogie boarding, and kayaking. You can kayak (or take a strenuous swim) to the nearby reef and snorkel for hours. The warm tropical water is sublime - around eighty-four degrees. You can walk for miles without seeing another person, but you can't avoid the scarlet macaws.
We also have great places to relax on the beach, such as our hammock shack and native palapas. On the hammock shack we have lounge chairs, yoga and beach mats, and even workout equipment (don't worry, it's optional), as well as complimentary boogie boards and kayaks. The palapas are large native sunshades right on the beach. We provide beach towels and beach mats.
On Tuesday nights we have a festive beach barbeque under the stars, and there are frequent volleyball matches on the beach in front of the Pearl. This beach is where our Iguana Lodge Turtle Project takes place. During the season (May through December) if you are lucky you can walk to our hatchery at sunrise and watch the baby turtles hatch or at night spot the moms laying their eggs on the beach.
