Our Staff

Iguana Lodge has almost thirty employees.  Cristian, our manager, runs the show and is a star.  He is originally from San Jose, but migrated to the peninsula a few years ago with his lovely girlfriend, Maureen.  Many of our workers have been with us for over six years now, including two of our chefs, Jose and Rosi, as well as our chief of maintenance, Appolonio (together, he and Toby keep Iguana running).  Helen, our bartender, has worked here for years (great dancer), as has Yorleni in housekeeping (a cleaning powerhouse), and Luis at the Pearl (fisherman extraordinaire).   I could go on and on…

Our workers generally live in Puerto Jimenez and ride their bikes to work which takes about twenty minutes each way, although some have now purchased motorcycles or cars.  Almost everyone has a family with one or two children, and often live in extended family settings.  All of them are great dancers, love a party, and are our great friends.  Pura Vida.
