Nature Air policies:
AIRPORT CHECK IN
- Check-in is 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights.
- Check-in is 90 minutes prior to scheduled departure for international flights.
- Domestic flights are closed 20 minutes prior to departure.
- International flights are closed 30 minutes prior to departure. Any passengers not checked-in, will not be boarded and may be denied boarding and forfeiture of reservations and all monies paid.
- In San Jose, Costa Rica, Nature Air is located at Pavas Airport, centrally located only 4 miles from downtown, and 9 miles from Juan Santamaria International Airport.
- Government issued photo identification must be presented by all passengers at the time of check-in to guarantee boarding. Failure to present positive identification may result in denied boarding and forfeiture of reservations and all monies paid.
BAGGAGE POLICY
- Each fare paying passenger is allowed to carry, free of charge, up to 30 pounds of baggage. Free baggage allowance includes the weight of both hand and checked baggage, although no hand baggage more than 10 pounds is allowed inside the aircraft cabin. To meet this goal, passengers may have to distribute weight between bags. Infants do not have any free baggage allowance.
- Baggage may not exceed 64 square inches in diameter when totaling length plus width plus height. Baggage exceeding this dimension will be transported on our aircraft subject to space and weight availability.
- Surfboards, golf clubs/bags, fishing equipment and bicycles are, accepted for transportation and will be transported subject to space and weight availability on our aircraft. Excess baggage charges for these articles are USD$40.00 each piece, per flight.
- Excess luggage will be charged at the airport and must be paid prior to travel commencing. Payment of excess baggage fees does not guarantee baggage will be transported on the same flight as the passenger, and may be put on next available flight. Collection of late arriving baggage is the responsibility of the passenger.
- NatureAir is not responsible for personal property left inside the aircraft cabin.
- Storage for luggage is available at Pavas Airport in San Jose only.
- NatureAir does not transfer baggage between flights operated by any other airline or transportation company.
NON REFUNDABLE POLICY

- Changes and cancellations may be made to reservations commensurate with the policies of the fare purchased.

Sansa leaves from the Juan Santamaria (JSM) International Airport (SJO). The fares are $114 for one way and $228 for roundtrip. Children under two years fly for free.

CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT
SANSA TICKETS REGULATIONS
LIMITED LIABILITY
The rules and limitations regarding liability are set by the law on the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of Costa Rica. The Company reserves the right to cancel or postpone a journey free of liability on its part, when it must attend preferential obligations, such as the transfer of sick or injured persons, due to bad weather, or for any other cause for which it deems the suspension necessary, for passenger safety or to protect the Company ’s interests. As a consequence, the Company does not assume the inevitable obligation of transporting the passenger on the precise day indicated on this ticket for the trip or for a specified flight.
Furthermore, it reserves the right of not accepting passengers that arrive for the flight in abnormal circumstances that may place the security of the remainder passengers at risk, or that may cause them any type of nuisance.
TICKET CONDITIONS
Tickets are issued in the name of a specific person and are not transferable, not endorsable and non-refundable. The carrier may check the identity of the passenger at any given time. Changes on itinerary are allowed 48 hours before departure time and there is a fee of $15 per change made. If the reservation is made within 48 hours before departure time, the itinerary could not be changed.
Tickets are valid only for the flight / date printed on the ticket.
LOSS OF BAGGAGE
The indemnification to be paid by the Company in the case of lost luggage will not be greater than the corresponding fare for the segment of the trip where the loss of luggage occurred, unless the Company has been obligated separately and in writing to a greater indemnification and charges are paid for it. The company will receive special luggage, such as fragile and/or delicate articles, without liability for damage, deterioration, or partial or total loss.
WAIVERS
By the mere fact of using the transportation ticket, the passenger expressly waives any claim that may arise against the aforementioned conditions. In the case of ticket loss by the passenger, the company assumes no liability whatsoever.
RECONFIRMATIONS
To ensure their return reservations, all passengers must call the company’s offices at any destination, to reconfirm their flight reservation at least 24 hours prior to flight departure. The company will cancel any reservation as a 'no-show', for those passengers that have not presented themselves at the airport airline counter thirty (30) minutes prior to flight departure. A picture ID will be required at the carrier’s airport counter.
LUGGAGE ALLOWANCES
Maximum luggage allowance is 25 pounds per person including carry-on. Excess luggage will be charge at $1.00 per pound. The extra luggage is subject to space. Carrier may refuse bag gages on the basis of excessive volume or safety reasons. We handle a maximum of two (6,9¨feet) surfboards per flight and pay $10 each way.
ITINERARIES
Itineraries are subject to change without prior notice to the passengers and with no responsibility for the carrier. Carrier will not be responsible for any losses or damages caused by the delay, anticipation, suspension, or cancellation of any flight due to force majeure, fortuitous events, adverse weather conditions, mechanical difficulties, or when the carrier decides so for security reasons or to protect the Company’s interests.
Please note that once the reservations are made there are no tickets to turn into you. You will receive a confirmation number or Locator code, which is unique to your reservation and serves just as a ticket would as proof of confirmation of your reservation. None of the airlines overbook, so once you are confirmed with us you are guaranteed your reservation, provided that you show up at check in time on the dates that you are flying and that you have paid. All domestic flights from San Jose have check in’s 60 (NA) and 45 (SA) minutes prior to flight departure.
Please also note that the Tobias Bolanos airport where Nature Air departs and lands is located about a 30-minute taxi ride from the Juan Santamaria International airport.
Also, it takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to pass through immigration, baggage claim and customs upon arrival to Costa Rica, and most airlines request a 2 hour prior check-in when departing the country. Please take these factors into account when calculating which flights will serve you best.
Please be advised that all passengers need a passport valid for 30 days upon arrival to Costa Rica. There is a $26/person airport exit tax that you will pay upon departure.
