Kayaking

For water lovers, sea kayaking is a must here at Iguana Lodge. We have a reef about one-half mile off of our beach, and kayaking out to the reef is sublime. (Serious swimmers also enjoy the swim.) Kayaks are provided to guests at no charge.

There are a variety of gorgeous guided kayak trips within the Golfo Dulce, including "shooting the arch" at Cape Matapalo to mellow cruises up an exotic, peaceful mangrove river which is right near Iguana Lodge – it’s like going to church - and a sunset watch for dolphins in the mystical luminescent waters of the Golfo Dulce.
