This is once in a lifetime experience. Two species of dolphin live in the Golfo Dulce, spinners and bottle nose; whales and whalesharks (harmless, yet ever-so-colossal beasts) visit as well. For years one could swim with the dolphins. This has now been outlawed by the Costan Rica government. Don’t despair, as viewing these beautiful mammals, and enjoying the beauty of the Golfo Dulce, as well as taking time to swim, snorkel, and play in the gulf are all wonderful activities. This adventure consists of boating out into the gulf where you and your guide will search for and hopefully locate one of several pods of our native dolphins, or our visiting whalesharks and whales (these are more season dependent). You can also snorkel in the gulf, as well as enjoy being towed behind the boat with fun tow boards.
